FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our Healthy Consults include an online consultation of up to 30 minutes, and our Wellness Consults include an online consultation of up to 1 hour. Email only consultations are available on request. Please note that this does not affect the price of the consult. 

Our Food Matching Service does not require an online consultation as the health questionnaire should provide us enough information to be able to get to work. We may ask a few follow up questions via email if necessary. 

You must ensure that the health questionnaire has been filled in and returned to us at least 48 hours before your consultation. 

Here's how it works:

1. Choose the consult type you want and submit a booking form (if you're unsure please contact us and we can advise). 
2. We will review the booking information and contact you via email within 2 working days to arrange a convenient time for our consultation (if required), plus provide payment information, likely timescales and our health questionnaire for you to fill in.
3. Fill out and return the health questionnaire to us via email, and send your payment. Both the completed questionnaire and your payment must be received at least 48 hours before your consultation. 
4. Once the online consultation has taken place (if required), we will get to work on our recommendations. This normally takes 5 to 10 working days but may be longer during exceptionally busy periods. 

There may be times where a different consultation type than the one booked would be more appropriate for your dog, if this is the case I will advise on receipt of the booking form, before any payment is taken. 

The health of your dog is always our top priority and we do not ever want to compromise their wellbeing. There may be occasions where I believe that the dog is in need of veterinary help before we can look at their diet. In these cases, I will insist that you speak to your vet in the first instance. Likewise, if I feel that a dog has issues outside of my own expertise I can advise on other professionals or specialists that may be able to help. 

No, I am not a vet and any advice I may give is not intended to be a substitute for veterinary advice. I cannot diagnose your dog and I encourage all owners to consult with their vet prior to our consultation. 

Yes, I am qualified in canine nutrition having taken accredited diplomas based both in the UK and the US. 

I am a professional member of the Raw Feeding Veterinary Society.

Over the past few years I have dedicated my time to researching and studying canine health and wellbeing, and I am continually acquiring new knowledge and skills. 

Yes, I am fully insured as a canine nutritionist and I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate. 

No, I welcome pet parents wishing to feed any type of food, and recognise that raw is not always suitable for a number of reasons, whether for the dog or for the owner. 

If you need to change or cancel your booking, please contact us at hello@barkandbowlnutrition.com with the word 'CANCELLATION' and your dog's name in the subject line at least 48 hours before your consultation to avoid being charged.
